Ryan Rhodes, the founder of the Iowa Tea Party, announced on – News Saturday his candidacy for Congress, with the slogan “Make America Iowa.” Rhodes aims to promote Iowa’s industrious values, contrasting them with what he describes as the socialist ideals of Omar Fateh, a mayoral candidate in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Rhodes is running for Iowa’s fourth congressional district as current Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-IA) is running for governor of the Hawkeye State.

Rhodes stated that as the founder of the Iowa Tea Party, he has always felt compelled to advocate for Iowans when needed. He also has the experience of working as Dr. Ben Carson’s presidential state director for Iowa.

“Iowa is the most American state in the country,” expressed Rhodes on the program, linking this belief to his campaign’s slogan, “Make America Iowa.”

The state’s fourth congressional district has typically served as a conservative stronghold in the state.

Rhodes aims to introduce Iowa’s robust, diligent values to Congress, drawing a stark contrast with the “Islamo-Communist” values he attributes to Omar Fateh, a state senator and Minneapolis mayoral candidate.

“Iowa has good moral values; we’re hard workers. We don’t want men in women’s sports. We’re not looking to be a third-world country,” he said.

He added, “When these places are trying to push their values on us, it’s time to stop, and it’s time for us to push back.”

He further commented, “Omar Fateh is gaining support because Mayor Jacob Frey, who previously supported the BLM, is no longer sufficient. Now, the focus shifts to the Somali-Islamo-Communists we’ve brought in.”
