The FBI is investigating after a sky-high brawl broke out Wednesday morning on a Breeze Airways flight from Virginia to California.
Flight MX704 by Breeze Airways, initially traveling from Norfolk International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport, made an unscheduled stop at Grand Junction Regional Airport in Colorado. This detour occurred after a passenger “started a physical altercation with other passengers and crew members,” the airline reported to Fox News Digital.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, a male passenger who appeared to be intoxicated “became agitated” and began “shouting racist slurs at the airline crew while brandishing a skateboard.”
Airline staff placed the man in restraints twice, but he was able to break free both times, police said.
Breeze provides four distinct fare options that the company claims “demonstrate our promise of kindness,” which include “No Flex,” “Nice,” “Nicer,” and “Nicest.”
Certain flights start at less than $40 per ticket.
FBI Denver did not immediately respond to inquiries from Fox News Digital.
