A man from Staten Island and his mother are facing numerous charges, such as aggravated manslaughter and hindering apprehension, following a fatal incident in Plainsboro, New Jersey, attributed to a reckless BMW street race.
Alvi Limani, 20, is accused of aggravated manslaughter, vehicular homicide, several counts of reckless assault by auto, endangerment, obstruction, record tampering, fleeing a fatal crash scene, and causing death or severe injury while driving with a suspended license.
His mother, Vilma Vneshta, 42, is charged with third-degree hindering. They are both being detained at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center without the option of bail.

The duo was apprehended on July 17 near Miami, Florida, and investigators observed that they obtained a Florida ID, a same-day passport, and tickets to Tirana, Albania.
Video footage showed Limani and Vneshta being cuffed on the tarmac.
According to jail records, both Limani and Vneshta are listed as non-citizens.
“Vneshta is Albanian and [is] believed to still have roots there,” detectives wrote in an affidavit.
The mother-son duo are currently being held at the Middlesex County Department of Corrections, according to jail records.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office did not immediately provide comments to Fox News Digital.
