Kelly Osbourne marked her 42nd birthday on Monday with a playful Halloween-themed celebration, dressing as a skeleton and dancing around her living room with her son, Sidney.
The television personality shared the sweet Instagram video, moving along to 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” alongside her three-year-old son, whom she shares with her former partner Sid Wilson.
Kelly and Sidney embraced the spooky season in matching skeleton outfits, while Kelly added a witch’s hat to complete her costume.
In another heartwarming post, Kelly showed herself resting in bed as Sidney slept peacefully on top of her. She captioned the image: “There is no better way to spend my birthday than cuddling with my baby!”
The birthday celebration follows Kelly’s recent revelation that she has gained two stone over the past six months. She also admitted being “as shocked as anyone else” by photographs taken of her at the BRITs earlier this year.
Her appearance at the Manchester ceremony prompted widespread concern, with fans noticing that she looked significantly slimmer while appearing on stage beside her mother, Sharon.

The television star recently revealed she had gained two stone in six months and said she was “as shocked as anyone else” by her BRITs photos earlier this year
Kelly, who has denied using weight-loss injections, has endured a difficult year following the death of her father, Ozzy, in July 2025, as well as the breakdown of her engagement to Sid Wilson.
However, seven months after her BRITs appearance, the actress suggested that she is now feeling more positive as she opened up about her weight gain.
She also addressed speculation about an eating disorder, explaining that she had not been suffering from one and had instead reached a point where she “just couldn’t do anything for myself.”
“No one knows what people are dealing with in private, I was just sad,” she said.
“I don’t wish that pain on anyone ever. And to do that in front of everyone just sucked,” Kelly added in an interview with The Sun.
The British TV personality has spoken candidly over the years about her struggles with body image, which began during her teenage years when she starred in her family’s reality series, The Osbournes.
Speaking on The Osbournes podcast last year, Kelly recalled being summoned to an agency executive’s office and told she was too heavy to succeed on television. She said she was told that losing weight would make her look better.
“And he was just saying, ‘You’re not a movie star, but you could be one if you lost weight,’” she remembered.
Since those early experiences, Kelly’s relationship with her weight has continued to fluctuate.
In 2018, she underwent gastric sleeve surgery, describing it as “the best thing I have ever done.” She attributed her 85-pound weight loss to the procedure alongside a strict diet and high-intensity interval training.

She also shared a photo relaxing in bed with Sidney peacefully sleeping on her, Kelly wrote: ‘There is no better way to spend my birthday then cuddling with my baby!’
But pregnancy added another twist. When she was expecting son Sidney in 2022, Kelly gained around 100lb and developed gestational diabetes, later admitting she avoided the spotlight because of it.
‘She has told people that she got skinnier for her kid. She wants to be around for her kid and play and be with her kid for a long time, and now that she lost her dad, she sees that being something even more important,’ our second source said.
‘She doesn’t want to be the weight she used to be and she is going to do whatever she needs to do to stay skinny.’
Kelly has repeatedly fended off critics who scrutinize her dramatic transformation, most notably denying Ozempic rumours.
‘I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic. I did not take Ozempic. I don’t know where that came from. My mom took Ozempic,’ she previously told Extra.
But those close to Kelly are keeping a watchful eye, with a source telling the Daily Mail that ‘nobody near her is looking to provide an intervention, but people have noticed and are monitoring it’.
‘Kelly is definitely not concerned with how she looks and would tell anyone that would bring it up to her to go screw off, but she does get upset over people talking about it,’ the source added.
‘She is very skinny. She has been working on her weight her entire life and the stress of her dad passing away has been a major struggle to deal with that is taking a toll on her look and health.’
During an appearance on Paul C Brunson’s podcast, We Need To Talk, Kelly revealed she relapsed into drinking following the death of her father as her grief sent her spiralling back into addiction.
Kelly, who says she is now sober again, said his death triggered a period in which she became unable to look after herself properly.
‘I was a shell of myself. I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t do anything. I was just empty,’ Kelly said.
‘Broken in every way a human being could possibly be broken and completely unable to even take care of myself. I was at ground zero. I started drinking again. I lost my mind. I couldn’t handle it.’

Kelly, who denies using weight loss jabs, has undoubtedly had a tough year following the death of her father Ozzy in july 2025, and her split from fiancé Sid Wilson (Kelly pictured with her dad in 2020)
Kelly, who has battled drug and alcohol addiction since her teenage years, added that she has since managed to regain her sobriety.
‘I can honestly say today I’m eight months sober,’ she said. ‘I have the most incredible people around me. I closed my circle because I lost a lot of friends because people don’t like sadness and they expected me to be over it.
‘I will never be over it. I will never ever be over it.’
Kelly has previously been open about repeated periods of addiction and recovery, including revealing in 2021 that she had relapsed after almost four years sober.
At the time, she explained how a single glass of champagne had quickly escalated into heavier drinking before she got herself ‘back on track’.
She has now said that drinking and drugs were never about wanting to party but about trying to escape difficult feelings.
‘I never did drugs because I wanted a party,’ she said. ‘I never drank because I wanted a party. I just didn’t want to feel the pain.’
Kelly is now attempting to carve out a different life for herself after returning to the UK, where she spent most of her childhood before moving with her family to Los Angeles when she was 13.
