Nine’s flagship current affairs show 60 Minutes has scooped a host of honours at the annual Kennedy Awards.

Nick McKenzie was honored with the Journalist of the Year award for his reporting contributions to The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and 60 Minutes.

Additionally, 60 Minutes, in partnership with The Age, SMH, and Australian Financial Review (AFR), received recognition for Outstanding Investigative Reporting for their Building Bad series.

The collaborative Out of Order series, produced by SMH, 60 Minutes, and Good Food, claimed the award for Long Form Outstanding Television Current Affairs Reporting.

Kirsty Thompson, who serves as the Executive Producer of 60 Minutes and Head of Long Form at Nine, was acknowledged with the Outstanding Team Player or Mentor award, sharing the accolade with Kathryn Wicks from SMH.

Steve Marshall, Danielle Post, and Ben Lynch nabbed the Outstanding Nightly Television Current Affairs Reporting award for their piece on Exposing Government Corruption.

And Lauren Tomasi took the award for Outstanding Television News Reporting for her coverage of the immigration protests in Los Angeles.
