Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to don a more formal outfit when he has a meeting with former President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., this Monday, as anticipated by a designer who has worked with the European leader in the past.

“I doubt he’ll be in a polo tomorrow,” Ukrainian designer Elvira Gasanova conveyed to Fox News Digital. “He’s likely to go for a black military suit or a military-style shirt paired with trousers—maybe even a jacket.”

Having previously faced criticism for his informal clothing choices, Zelenskyy is anticipated to opt for “a more serious appearance—though less symbolic,” according to Gasanova.

“After the recent ‘no suit’ drama, he will likely approach this question differently,” she said.

The toll of Russia’s large-scale invasion has physically impacted Zelenskyy, causing him to lose weight during stressful phases, while routine training aids in rebuilding his muscle mass, Gasanova explained.

“At the moment, he is in Brussels, and he will decide for himself what to wear tomorrow,” she said.

This upcoming meeting is scheduled shortly after Trump engaged in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska last Friday to attempt a resolution of the war in Ukraine.

The high-stakes meeting was the first U.S.-Russia summit since June 2021, which was under former President Joe Biden’s administration and only eight months before Putin invaded Ukraine.

The White House and Press Office for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
