() The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia on Monday announced an Indiana woman was charged with making death threats against President Trump on Facebook.

Nathalie Rose Jones, 50, was charged in a complaint in U.S. District Court with threatening to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm to Trump, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said in a news release.

Jones also “transmitted in interstate commerce communications containing threats to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another.”

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution. Make no mistake justice will be served,” Pirro said.

Jones allegedly made different threats over a two-week span: court docs

Court documents revealed that members of the U.S. Secret Service observed that the Instagram user account “nath.jones” had posted threatening comments about Trump from Aug. 2-9. Jones allegedly called for Trump’s removal and labeled him a terrorist.

In addition, federal officials found that Jones, in an Aug. 6 Facebook post directed at the FBI, wrote that “I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea with Liz Cheney and all The Affirmation present.”

Just days later, she allegedly also made a post directed to U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The U.S. Secret Service also conducted a voluntary interview with Jones on Friday, during which she stated Trump was a “terrorist” and a “Nazi.”

Case being investigated by the Secret Service

Secret Service officials interviewed Jones one final time Saturday after she joined a protest demonstration that started at Dupont Circle, and circumnavigated the White House complex.

She admitted that she had made threats towards Trump during her interview the previous day.

“Protecting the President of the United States is our highest priority, and every potential threat is addressed with the utmost seriousness,” added Matt McCool, special agent in charge of the U.S. Secret Service, Washington Field Office.

The case is being investigated by the U.S. Secret Service.
