Michelle Williams has welcomed her fourth child – her first born via a surrogate.
The baby is the 44-year-old, four-time Oscar nominee’s third with her husband, theater director Thomas Kail, 48.
The alum shared the joyful news during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, which was hosted by comedian Tiffany Haddish, 45, who herself has recently become a parent.
Williams recently revealed what it was like living with Ryan Gosling.
Haddish praised Williams for her post-baby figure, leading the actress to thank her surrogate while hinting at the gender of the newborn.
Williams replied: ‘Then I’ve got to give a big shout out to Christine, cuz this last baby did not come through my body.’
Michelle, seen in Los Angeles back in June, is now a mother of four, with her latest addition arriving thanks to Christine, the surrogate she openly acknowledged.

Michelle Williams (seen in LA back in June) has welcomed her fourth child which was the first that was born via surrogate

This marks the third child the 44-year-old, multiple-time Oscar-nominated actress shares with her husband, Thomas Kail, 48; the couple was spotted together in New York last April.
‘But the miracle of our little girl is thanks to Christine. Maybe you’re watching out there – thank you, Christine.’
Michelle Williams, 44, is also the mother of a 19-year-old daughter, Matilda, with her late ex-partner, Oscar-winning actor Heath Ledger, who tragically passed away from an overdose in 2008.
In addition, she has two young children with her husband, theater director and TV producer Thomas Kail: a four-year-old son named Hart and a second child born in 2022, whose name remains undisclosed.
The actress gave another emotional shoutout to her surrogate, adding: ‘Thanks to Christine, I have three under 5 at home.’
Williams spoke candidly about balancing motherhood with her Hollywood career, admitting the juggle isn’t easy.
The My Week With Marilyn star told a late-night chat show host: ‘Everything’s good and under control. I’m the adult. I’m trying to figure out the sort of life-work balance.
‘I hear a lot of people are talking about self-care, and I’m just wondering when. Because I’m a working mom. Like, I already have the guilt, and I don’t want to take more time away from them, but I understand, like, I need to fill up the tank.’
As for her rare moments of private time, Williams revealed what she likes to do.

The former Dawson’s Creek star praised her surrogate while also seemingly hinting at the sex of her new child as she replied: ‘Then I’ve got to give a big shout out to Christine, cuz this last baby did not come through my body. It’s by visiting our fine local establishments of government bureaucracy’
Michelle joked: ‘It’s by visiting our fine local establishments of government bureaucracy.
‘You say, ‘I’m sorry, honey. But one day you’re going to grow up, and you’re going to get a job. And you’re going to pay taxes, and you’re going to need a Social Security number for that.”
Her husband, Thomas Kail, is best known for directing Lin-Manuel Miranda’s smash musicals In the Heights and Hamilton on Broadway and Off-Broadway.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, welcomed their first child together — son Hart — that same year.
During her Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview, Michelle continued sharing her tongue-in-cheek parenting hacks.
She quipped: ‘And then here’s how it goes: I recommend a midday appointment because it’s a little bit more crowded. And then you can claim your rightful place at the back of the line where they will let you wait in complete silence for at least one hour.
‘There is free seating for all. It’s like… bring a nail file and a to-do list and just check, check, check. You know what I mean?’
Williams said she even managed to enjoy ‘an adult conversation’ with an employee at the counter once her name was finally called.
She also shares two other children with Kail — four-year-old Hart and a second child born in 2022 whose name has yet to be revealed (the family is pictured together in New York in January).
