() The bodies of two brothers who went missing in Lake Erie have been found, authorities confirmed.

First responders found their bodies in separate locations Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET.

Brothers Trent Sanchez, 19, and Austin Labbe, 22, were caught in a riptide and swept away while swimming at the beach on Sunday, August 17, according to their family.

The search operation for the brothers extended over several days, involving efforts from the U.S. Coast Guard, local fire department, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Cleveland Metroparks Police dive team, and others.

Earlier that day, two hours before the incident with the brothers, 64-year-old Jeffery L. Williams experienced a medical emergency while fishing on a nearby pier and fell into the water.

His body was found and pulled from the water Tuesday, Aug. 19.

The National Weather Service had issued a beach hazard warning for Lake Erie, advising the public to steer clear of the water due to perilous riptide conditions.
