A woman from Texas was taken into custody for reportedly brandishing a firearm at a man she accused of being an undocumented immigrant and trespassing on her land, all while posing as a law enforcement officer.

On Saturday, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office shared a Facebook post announcing the arrest of Alishia Blevins, 58, who faces a charge of making a terroristic threat.

Authorities reported that they answered a 911 call at a location in Kirbyville, Texas, where they discovered a man, whose identity was not disclosed, sitting by his car on a country road. Blevins informed the police that the man was “an illegal immigrant and was encroaching on her land.”

Upon interviewing the man, he explained to deputies that Blevins had reportedly aimed a gun at him and compelled him to exit his car, demanding “his proof of insurance, name, cellphone, and keys.” Deputies noted that when Blevins phoned the man’s wife from the scene using his phone, she allegedly posed as a police officer, which was untrue.

According to authorities, both the alleged victim and his wife provided sworn statements willingly. Besides Blevins’ supposed untrue statement about being a police officer, she also allegedly informed the man that her German shepherd was a K-9 officer with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Blevins also allegedly put her “large” dog in the man’s vehicle and told him that “the dog would attack” if he attempted to flee the scene, deputies said.

Despite Blevins’ claim the man was trespassing, deputies determined he was legally on a public road and “never entered or remained on Blevins’ property.” With that accusation dismissed, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office added they would be contacting immigration authorities to investigate the alleged victim’s status.

Blevins was arrested for making a terroristic threat, and law enforcement said she could face charges of impersonating a peace officer.

The defendant was booked into the Jasper County Jail on Saturday.

Now, the unnamed man is facing potential trouble.

“[I]mmigration was contacted and they are checking his status,” the sheriff’s department said in an update on their Facebook post. “We will follow the law and all federal statutes.”
