Striking bodycam footage has surfaced depicting Caitlin Clark’s convicted stalker, as he reassured FBI agents that his posts last winter were not intended as threats.

Michael Lewis, 55, faced a felony stalking charge on January 12 after he began sending numerous sexually explicit and disturbing messages targeting the WNBA star late in the previous year.

However, authorities issued him a warning just four days earlier when FBI agents visited him at his hotel in Indianapolis, where he had moved from Texas.

In video obtained by TMZ, Lewis appears barefoot, wearing a blue t-shirt and black jeans, as he tells agents that his posts about Clark were more of an ‘imagination, fantasy type thing.’

For the most part, he did not deny making the posts but became briefly agitated as an agent explained that they could be perceived as threatening.

An agent then read a supposed deleted post from Lewis mentioning him sitting behind the Indiana Fever’s bench while waving a sword in Clark’s direction.

Lewis denied creating that post, even after the agent recited his account name on X. He insisted that it wasn’t something he would have posted.

In another post in January, Lewis also referred to himself as Clark’s ‘slave’ and also shared a separate, chilling regarding the basketball star.

‘this is 911 what is your emergency? . . caitlin fell in the snow and we cant find her anywhere. Its like she disappeared. . . . Brass monkey, that funky monkey, brass monkey junkee, that funky monkey’,’ he wrote.

During his stay in Indianapolis, he also posted that he had ‘sensual’ feelings for Clark and said on December 31 that he was going to ‘touch himself’ to her. 

However, when asked why he was making the posts towards Clark, he shrugged.

‘The reason everybody makes posts’, he said in the video.

He also referred to it as an ‘imaginary relationship’ and said that he didn’t actually know about Clark’s whereabouts.

However, police asked to check out his rooms for weapons – which he obliged with – and they came out of the room having not found anything.

Before departing, FBI agents once again warned him to be more cautious with his posts, and Lewis himself said he would ‘double-check’ before posting in the future.

However, his troubling messages allegedly continued after the visit from the FBI and he was arrested four days later on January 12.

He ultimately pleaded guilty on July 28 to one felony count of stalking and one count of harassment, and was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail.

However, he was given credit for time already served and will only serve about 18 more months in jail.

He has also been required to stay away from Fever and Pacers games, while the judge recommended that he receive mental health treatment.

Lewis will also be prohibited from having internet access during his sentence, 13 WTHR reported from the courtroom.

Prosecutors also said in July  that Clark approved of Lewis’ plea agreement, WishTV.com reported, while court documents also showed that she was interviewed by police regarding the matter.D
