() An Oklahoma man arrested after his 11-year-old stepdaughter gave birth at home has now been charged with child sexual abuse.
Dustin and Cherie Walker were arrested last week, facing initial charges of felony child neglect following an incident where an 11-year-old girl gave birth to a healthy baby on August 16.
They initially reported they were unaware of the girl’s pregnancy. There was no evidence of prenatal care, and it was documented that she hadn’t visited a doctor for over a year.
Authorities added the child sexual abuse charge after a paternity test showed Dustin Walker had a 99.9% match to the DNA of the child’s father.
Walker is accused of abusing the girl from January through August, and Cherie Walker has been charged with enabling child sexual abuse.
They also face the original charges of felony child neglect and failing to provide medical care for the 11-year-old girl.
In addition to the older girl, the couple is accused of neglecting the other five children they share, ages 9, 7, 6, 4 and 2.
Court documents state the children had no clothing on and were living in dog feces. All of them have been removed from the home.
The pair face a bond of $100,000 each and are scheduled to appear in court Sept. 3.
