Concerns are escalating for a man who mysteriously vanished in Brisbane over a week ago, prompting police to establish a crime scene as they continue their search.
Andrew Burow has been missing from his home in Kelvin Grove since August 20, but the matter was not reported to police until four days later.
Police described the 56-year-old’s disappearance as out of character.
Late Tuesday night, investigations led police to deem his disappearance suspicious.
A crime scene has been declared at a home on Kokoda Avenue in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast â more than 100km away from Burow’s home.
Forensic officers are combing through the property today.
Burow is believed to be an IT professional who contacted a real estate agent about selling his house before he went missing.
Police said Burow’s loved ones hold “significant concerns”.
His friends told 9News that he is “really friendly and cared about people” and hope he is “found safe”.
Burow is described as Caucasian with a fair complexion, slightly red and sandy hair and bluish-green eyes.
Anyone who knows where he is or has any information is urged to contact the police immediately.
