This game was already 'incredible'. It just got another reason to play

Kirby and the Forgotten Land was already an incredible game.

It is a charming and gorgeous showcase of level design, complementing unique and varied power ups.

It didn’t require an expansion, but the fact that it’s receiving one in the form of a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition provides even more reason to revisit this amazing 3D platformer or experience it for the first time.

It took me roughly 10 hours to 100 per cent the Starry Stages and collect all of the 85 new figures.

If you’re particularly masochistic, a new and brutal boss rush awaits you at the colosseum. Mastering the original colosseum challenge without dying was already challenging enough, and this new test feels reminiscent of a Dark Souls game.

After two measly attempts, I could only get through four or the 12 rounds!

Nintendo is selling Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World for $109.95.

You can find it cheaper in store and if you already own the original, the upgrade pack is $30.

12 stages for $30 is about right when the base game had 32.

If you’re a Kirby fan or a parent with kids, this one’s a no brainer.

And if you’re searching for something to enjoy on your Switch 2 before Hollow Knight: Silksong launches next week, this Switch 2 Edition might just be the best yet.

An early copy of Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World was provided to 9news.com.au for the purpose of this review.
