Charlie Kirk wasn’t deterred by security concerns, threats: Jack Posobiec

A friend and colleague of Charlie Kirk, the slain conservative activist, stated that despite the constant security threats and dangers to his life, Kirk continued engaging with young audiences at public gatherings.

Jack Posobiec, a conservative commentator and frequent contributor on Kirk’s prominent platforms, mentioned discussing safety issues with Kirk after the attempted assassination on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, the previous summer. While a security team accompanied Kirk, he remained undeterred by fear.

“He essentially said he wasn’t going to cease his activities,” Posobiec shared on “Elizabeth Vargas Reports” on Thursday. “He told me, ‘The kids always attend, and they want me present.’ He did it for them.”

He said Kirk, whose appearances drew protests, received death threats on a weekly basis.

Tragically, on Wednesday, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA was assassinated by a sniper at Utah Valley University in Orem, who managed to escape. Posobiec observed that his friend was engaged in something he loved right up to the end.

“He went out the way he lived fighting for the truth, holding a microphone on campus, talking to people. That’s who he was,” Posobiec said.

Charlie Kirk enjoyed ‘South Park’ sendup, friend says

Kirk was known for participating in debates with opponents at college events, and his supporters, like Posobiec, insisted that Kirk genuinely sought an exchange of ideas. Posobiec also mentioned his friend’s great sense of humor. When “South Park” spoofed him in a recent episode, Kirk wasn’t upset, rather amused.

“I watched it with him, and he was laughing the entire time, because that’s who Charlie was,” Posobiec said. “He sincerely believed that life in this world is temporary, and he always found a way to laugh about it.”

Posobiec filled in Thursday during the daily show Kirk hosted on “Real America’s Voice,” which served as a tribute.

“I can hear his voice in my ear, saying, ‘Keep going, don’t quit,’” Posobiec said.
