The Uber driver noticed a distinct odor from the package he picked up for delivery, so he drove straight to the Splendora police station.

SPLENDORA, Texas — A Splendora man thought he was being slick when he ordered a delivery from Uber Eats. Nope.

When the Uber driver picked up the guy’s package for delivery, he knew something was up because it had a “distinct aroma.”

Instead of taking it to the customer, the driver went straight to the Splendora Police Department in Liberty County, northeast of Houston.

Officers discovered a container of baby wipes inside the box with a large amount of methamphetamine and several THC cartridges hidden inside.

The customer was informed that the Uber had malfunctioned, and he received a location to pick up his valuable package. Upon arrival, officers were present. The man was handcuffed and escorted to jail.

“Splendora PD: Always delivering results… just not the kind he ordered,” SPD posted on social media.

No word on whether police are going after the person who supplied the drugs.
