A Texas Tech University student was arrested for mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination and celebrating his death in a recorded incident.

During a vigil held by students for the late conservative commentator, 18-year-old Camryn Giselle Booker was caught on camera leaping and chanting inflammatory remarks about Kirk’s passing.

The footage, which spread online, also depicted Booker confronting a man wearing a Make America Great Again hat. She recorded him on her phone as he questioned her hostility.

Ignoring his request for space, Booker persisted in approaching him with her camera, leading to a tense exchange where he asked her to step back.

Booker then accused the man of invading her personal space, though he pointed out that she initiated the interaction. He maintained, “I said ‘Rest in peace.'”

‘OK and I can do this too,’ Booker then says, as she continues to push her phone in his face.

‘I want to be left alone,’ the man in the MAGA hat could be heard saying, before someone off screen tells Booker that she is being emotional.

In response, Booker insisted she wasn’t being emotional and warned the man to give her space—or else she might express opinions he wouldn’t appreciate.

The man and the woman off-screen then continue to tell her she is being overly aggressive and emotional – at which point Booker accuses them of being racist.

‘I’m not being aggressive,’ she says in the video. ‘My voice is very calm. You’re calling me aggressive because I’m a black woman,’ which the man denies.

The young woman was slammed by hundreds of users online for metaphorically dancing on Kirk’s grave and celebrating his death in front of the mourning onlookers.

Booker also allegedly started shouting profanities at the mourners holding candles and American flags.

‘She started yelling slurs and accusing everyone of being “fascists” for honoring Kirk,’ one attendee said.

The situation then escalated when Booker allegedly shoved several people, including an elderly veteran and a young mother with her child – which prompted a physical altercation that spread into the street.

Booker was then taken into custody and was charged with battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was cited for assault.

She was released on a $200 bond the next day, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the Daily Mail.

Reports online said that she was expelled from the school for her behavior – however Texas Tech has not confirmed the move.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has since declared that Booker ‘definitely picked the wrong school to taunt the death of Charlie Kirk.’

In a follow-up post, he shared a photo of Booker being taken into custody, writing: ‘This is what happened to the person who was mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination at Texas Tech.

‘FAFO,’ he wrote, using an acronym for ‘F*** around and find out.’

But Booker is not the only one who has been arrested for their behavior following Kirk’s death at Utah Valley University last week.

Ryder Corral, 19, was also taken into custody for destroying a community memorial for Charlie Kirk at conservative non-profit Turning Point USA’s headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday.

Reports say Corral managed to make it about 15 yards through the crowd before he was subdued by bystanders and taken into custody by police. He managed to destroy some items placed at the memorial.

It happened around 9:50am near 48th Street and Beverly Road.

Officers were already in the area assisting with traffic control when they were alerted to the situation.

He was charged with criminal damage and disorderly conduct for kicking over flowers, vases, flags and balloons as he forced his way through the public tribute.

Disturbing footage and pictures show Corral wearing the exact same t-shirt and outfit worn by 22-year-old Tyler Robinson when he allegedly shot and killed the 31-year-old conservative influencer.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Texas Tech for comment on this story.
