RFK Jr. Describes Conversation With Charlie Kirk - and Brings Down the House

The true consequences of Charlie Kirk’s death will take time to unfold. Yet, I am confident in predicting that these effects will not benefit the left. For the moment, memorial services and tributes for Charlie continue, showcasing an admirable level of decorum. Remarkably, there have been no incidents of looting, arson, or riots. It almost seems like those on the right demonstrate better behavior compared to those on the left.

On the topic of composed gatherings, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., during his speech at the Kennedy Center, recounted a memorable conversation he once had with Charlie—a discussion worth acknowledging.

Mr. Kennedy said:

RFK Jr. captivated the audience at the Kennedy Center, leading to a powerful chant of “USA!” from those present, following his retelling of a conversation with Charlie Kirk about mortality. He shared, “Once, Charlie and I discussed the danger inherent in defying powerful interests. Charlie asked if I feared dying, and I responded, ‘There are fates far worse than death.'”

“Among the greatest of these is the loss of our constitutional freedoms and the prospect of our children living in bondage,” I explained to him at that time. “Sometimes, our only solace is dying with our boots on, fighting for these principles.” Charlie sacrificed his life to spare us from fates worse than death. Now, the responsibility is ours. With Charlie no longer able to guide us, we must step up, close the gap, and triumph in this struggle for our nation, for our faith, and for our loved ones. Thank you.

When Mr. Kennedy was finished, the unseen crowd erupted in tumultuous applause, with chants of “USA! USA!”

There are fates worse than death.
