Jimmy Kimmel is extremely angry with ABC’s choice to halt his late-night program due to his controversial remarks about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
On Wednesday, the news broke that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” would be temporarily removed from the network. This decision came after the 57-year-old TV host made a divisive statement concerning Tyler Robinson, 22, the suspect in Kirk’s murder, suggesting he was a conservative.
“Jimmy is furious about the suspension of his show, and he intends to challenge this decision as he explores options to terminate his contract,” a source informed Daily Mail.
‘This is the last straw and Jimmy is now looking to forever break his relationship with ABC forever,’ the insider added.
Another source close to the show said they have ‘never seen Kimmel this angry’ adding ‘It’s bad.’
Stephen Colbert, another prominent host whose “Late Show” was canceled in July and is planned to end by May 2026, is interested in having Kimmel as a guest. Both hosts share the predicament of opposing the Trump administration.

Colbert and Kimmel are united in their desire to prevent Trump from succeeding in any manner, and this situation has fueled Kimmel’s determination to speak his mind and remain authentic.
‘Stephen Colbert is already looking to get Jimmy on his show as a guest in the next couple days or within the week.’
‘Now they both are in the same predicament with being against the Trump administration, and they are now looking to do something together to fight for what they believe in,’ the insider shared.
A producer on the show told the Daily Mail: ‘Well now I don’t have anything to do, we’re shut down indefinitely.’
‘We’re all here and were basically wandering around like aimless cows. Jimmy is going to meet with the network now, and hopefully figure this out, but he is livid. Absolutely f***ing livid. This is clearly the government overreaching. There’s no such thing as free speech in America, if the government can lean on companies to stop any content they don’t like.’

Despite Kimmel’s statement, investigators say alleged shooter Robinson held far-left ideologies and was dating his transgender roommate.
The TV personality’s unproven suggestion that Robinson was a proponent of the MAGA movement caught instant flak from Federal Communications Commission boss Brendan Carr.

On Wednesday, Carr told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson he was considering an investigation into Kimmel and his network ABC over the jarring remarks.
‘When you look at the conduct that has taken place by Jimmy Kimmel, it appears to be some of the sickest conduct possible,’ Carr told Johnson.
‘As you’ve indicated, there are avenues here for the FCC, so there… are some ways in which I need to be a little bit careful because we could be called ultimately to be a judge on some of these claims that come up.’
Kimmel’s comments about Robinson came during his Monday night monologue.
‘We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,’ the host said.
Kirk, 31, had been shot and killed at Utah Valley University on September 10 – in front of an audience of 3,000 horrified spectators – Kimmel reacted to his death online.

Shortly after the shooting, Kimmel wrote on social media: ‘Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human?’ Kimmel wrote.
‘On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.’
But he appeared to change his tune before his monologue on Monday.
