The incident happened in a parking deck on Krog Street on July 8, two days before Beyoncé’s first “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Atlanta.

HAPEVILLE, Ga. — A man is in custody in connection with the theft of unreleased music that was stolen from a vehicle belonging to Beyoncé in July.

The incident happened in a parking deck on Krog Street on July 8, two days before her first “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Atlanta.

Authorities reported that two individuals, who claimed to be part of Beyonce’s team, found the rear window of their black Jeep Wagoneer shattered, discovering that two suitcases were missing upon their return.

The report detailing the incident highlighted that the stolen possessions included: jump drives containing unreleased music, stage show plans, set lists for past and upcoming performances, two laptops, designer sunglasses, clothing items, and Apple AirPods Max.

According to a warrant sourced by 11Alive, the Atlanta Police received location screenshots where the missing items were detected. The signals were traced to two sites: one on Hank Aaron Drive, Longreen Terrace, and another on North Avenue in Hapeville.

Per the warrants, a crime analyst scrutinized surveillance footage and identified the vehicle involved in the theft using its license plate.

Police located the vehicle and executed a traffic stop. During this, the driver was detained for marijuana possession but cooperated with investigators, leading them to identify the theft suspect on Krog Street.

The warrants revealed that the driver conveyed to detectives that her uncle, Kelvin Evans, had used the vehicle. She later observed four black suitcases in the vehicle’s rear but did not inquire about them. The addresses linked to the stolen items’ signals matched those associated with her uncle, as the warrants noted.

During the investigation, police gained access to cameras on Hank Aaron Drive on July 8 and viewed footage of the driver’s uncle. Police report the clothing of the person in the Krog Street theft matches the clothing on Evans in the Hank Aaron Drive video.

Evans was booked in the Fulton County Jail and is facing charges of entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with the intent to commit theft or felony.
