ATLANTA () — The FBI’s Atlanta Field Office, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service in Georgia’s Northern District, revealed Thursday the outcomes of “Operation No Escape,” a six-week campaign aimed at locating and apprehending wanted suspects across the state.

This coordinated effort combined the resources of federal, state, and local law enforcement, leading to the capture of 177 individuals sought for severe offenses.

Some of the arrests include the following:

  • 28 wanted for murder, homicide, or manslaughter
  • 60 individuals charged with assault
  • 8 accused of crimes against children
  • 56 captured by U.S. Marshals-led arrest teams

“In Georgia, we are proactively tackling violent crime through intelligence sharing and partnerships,” stated Paul Brown, the Special Agent in Charge at FBI Atlanta. “Our commitment remains to thwart violent crimes, drug rings, and human trafficking networks that tear apart families and communities.”

“Let this serve as a warning to criminals both domestic and international,” declared U.S. Marshal Thomas Brown. “The U.S. Department of Justice is pursuing you relentlessly. If you endanger American lives, you will find no refuge.”

Arrest totals by region include:

  • 106 – Metro Atlanta
  • 27 – Columbus, Albany, Valdosta
  • 16 – Macon, Athens
  • 11 – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
  • 9 – Augusta, Statesboro
  • 5 – Savannah, Brunswick
  • 15 – Cartersville, Dalton, Gainesville

Other participating agencies included the DEA, GBI, ATF, and sheriffs’ offices from across the state.
