It's a busy week for the UN General Assembly — enjoy the traffic, New Yorkers!

It’s one busy & holy week

This is a special week.

The UN’s schlepping in, which will make traffic tougher to get through than your closet.

It’s also the week, or day, or minute, or whatever for the Sun to move away from the Earth which means something — I don’t know what.

It’s also the close of the San Gennaro festival which means everyone wanting spaghetti will clog uptown restaurants.

It’s Charlie Kirk’s funeral. Wait. More. It marks the first day of autumn.

My computer doesn’t like me today and my Yorkie just did something not nice on my kitchen floor.

Also, it’s a holy week. Rosh Hashanah. Which means it’s followed by another holy week — Yom Kippur. Which means I have to be kindly, not criticize anyone, and give thanks for all we have. This also means no columns from me for the rest of this week.

This means I just had a long discussion with my broker. We established a strategic, comprehensive plan aimed at achieving certain investment goals over the next five years — essentially, breaking even.

Have a good week, everyone.

‘Dream’ role

Another oldie’s set for aging Broadway. “Dreamgirls.” Great. Haven’t seen that show since Biden was toilet-trained.

Potential star — Alex Newell. Black. From Massachusetts. Remarkable, outstanding, a unique talent. Nonbinary. Responds to he/she/they. Portrays transgender roles. Describes themselves as “nonconforming.” After stopping the show with every performance, they won the 2023 Tony for “Shucked.” They shared with me that their lifelong ambition in show business is to star in “Dreamgirls.”

They also told me: “You can do anything in life as long as you put your mind to it.”

We’ve got the Waldorf! Jealous?

If you toured the newly rejuiced Waldorf, it’s great, shiny, terrific. Like NYC once was.

To quote Mayor Eric Adams: “Houston, we have a problem — but New York is too important to the country. As New York goes, so goes America.”

Yeah. Right. And where else you going to find the fabulous Waldorf? So elegant, so gorgeous that you could book the Ladies Lounge for a week stay.

Also, even terrific is our fabulous Second Avenue Deli. They got maybe a Second Avenue Deli in downtown Montana? Stuffed cabbage in Utah?

It’s New York. Only New York.
