Wedding planner reveals how she can tell who will get divorced

A woman who has been planning nuptials for over two decades has revealed the tell-tale wedding day signs that a couple isn’t going to last.

Over the course of her 25 years in the wedding industry, Robin ‘Birdie’ Yarusso, 43, from Lakeville, Minneapolis, has helped plan over 100 nuptials.

She has practically seen it all, getting a front row seat to both the good – and the bad.

She shared with the Daily Mail that she can often predict if a marriage will end in divorce based on the behavior of the couple on their wedding day.

‘There are micro signs that really align with much larger themes,’ she explained.

Initially, Birdie pointed out that how the couple manages their finances for the wedding is a significant sign of whether their marriage will endure.

‘We all know money is a big contributor to divorce,’ dished the expert.

‘If I see a couple plunging into debt for their wedding, secretly spending, or disregarding each other’s financial comfort zones, those same issues are likely to surface later and may lead to divorce.’

In addition, Birdie believes that couples who allow one of their mothers to be too involved may not have the best foundation.

‘When are we gonna to learn that a meddling mother isn’t good for a marriage?’ she continued.

‘A mother who doesn’t honor a couple’s decisions during wedding planning isn’t suddenly going to respect them in critical life stages such as buying a house, having kids, or choosing holiday plans.

‘This can be ok IF the child is willing to correct her. If not, it’s a recipe for disaster.’

Lastly, Birdie slammed popular wedding trends that involve the bride or groom embarrassing the other in front of their guests.

In recent months, videos of someone smashing their new spouse’s face into the wedding cake has gone particularly viral.

‘If a couple agrees ahead of time that they both want to smash a cake, fine. No problem,’ said Birdie.

‘But if one does it against the other’s wishes that’s borderline abuse and at minimum disrespect. Clearly toxic.’

Birdie (pictured) emphasized that financial management during wedding planning is a crucial predictor of marital longevity.

Birdie previously spoke to the Daily Mail about the most annoying thing that guests can do at a wedding… and it’s something many people are guilty of.

When attending a wedding, it’s natural to have questions about logistics.

Maybe you’re wondering where you should park, or what the food options may be… But according to Birdie, you better keep those questions to yourself.

Birdie told the Daily Mail that guests bombarding the bride with their inquiries on her big day is one of the worst possible things they can do.

‘Texting the bride the day of over little stuff like “where do we park again?” [is the most annoying thing a wedding guest can do],’ she explained.

‘She’s busy. There are so many ways to figure it out without stressing her out.’

In addition, she slammed people who turn up late to the nuptials, pointing out that it often interrupts the event and distracts others guests.

‘Walking into the ceremony late is distracting, [especially] while you find your seat,’ she stated.
