Commonwealth Bank customers have been left unable to check their balances.

Commonwealth Bank is experiencing a significant outage, leaving some customers unable to use online banking services.

This morning, certain users attempting to access their online accounts were greeted with a message stating “current balance unavailable”.

The message added, “We’ll show your balance from the last time you logged on.”

As of 12:25 pm, over 7,000 users had reported an outage on DownDetector.

The bank has acknowledged on its website that some services are currently disrupted.

“We are working urgently to resolve this issue,” the bank mentioned in a statement.

“We apologise and appreciate your patience.”

Commonwealth Bank said it would continue to provide updates to customers on its website.
