Morgan Wallen had an interesting soundtrack playing during his 2024 arrest for a chair-throwing incident.

Footage taken from the police car shows Wallen sitting in the back of the vehicle with his own music playing from the stereo.

The country singer found himself in hot water after hurling a chair from the sixth-story rooftop of Eric Church’s Nashville bar, Chiefs. The chair landed close to a group of police officers on the street. He has subsequently admitted to two misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment.

Now new footage from the April 2024 incident shows Wallen, 32, delighting over the familiar tune – and even asking the cop to turn the music up.

The odd incident unfolded when the singer inquired about the policeman’s favorite country stars. The officer confessed that Wallen was among them, as reported by the New York Post.

Wallen was thrilled, as the officer played one of his songs from the playlist. ‘This is me and Thomas Rhett. Turn it up! That’s me and TR!… That’s me right there!’ Wallen exclaimed joyfully. ‘Come on now, me and TR!’

Wallen expressed admiration for Thomas Rhett, his collaborator on the song Mamaw’s House, describing Rhett as an upstanding individual who would never end up in the backseat of a police car.

‘TR… he’s one of the best dudes in the world, he would definitely not be getting arrested,’ he added.

Several netizens were amused about that particular line about Rhett, and couldn’t help but chuckle over the mention online.

‘”He would definitely not be getting arrested” is funny af,’ one commented.

‘”TR is one of the best dudes in the world. He definitely would not be getting arrested,”‘ another said with two laughing-crying emojis.

Another referenced Wallen’s post-SNL ‘Get me to God’s country’ quote, commenting: ‘At least he did finally find God’s country; the back of a police car.’

Wallen pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment in a Nashville, Tennessee court in December 2024.

The counts were reduced from the three Class E felonies he was initially charged with.

Wallen was also sentenced to incarceration for seven days in a DUI education center before proceeding to be on supervised probation for two years.
