Palmdale Street shooting on Jacksonville's Northwest side leaves man dead

A man in his 20s was walking along Line Street when two suspects confronted him, leading to an argument, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Following a confrontation on Jacksonville’s Westside Wednesday evening, the police are searching for two suspects who shot a man, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

JSO Sgt. Mitlyng stated that officers were dispatched around 10 p.m. to the Yulee Street and Line Street intersection regarding the shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim, a man in his 20s, with several gunshot injuries.

Mityling said the man was then taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.

“The initial findings indicate that the victim encountered two suspects while walking on Line Street,” Mitlyng explained to First Coast News. “A dispute followed, culminating in the victim being shot.”
