SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two people were injured in a crash on Interstate 81 in Sullivan County on Wednesday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) has reported that a 2022 Ford Maverick was heading south on I-81 close to mile marker 63 shortly before 4:30 p.m.

A 2012 Chevrolet 1500 was reportedly stopped in the lane due to traffic.

The Ford then hit the Chevrolet in the rear, THP reported.

Both the driver of the Ford and the driver of the Chevrolet were injured in the crash.

Charges are pending, according to THP.
