In recently resurfaced videos, Travis Kelce and his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole appear tense with each other. This was shortly after his fiancée, Taylor Swift, allegedly released a diss track addressing someone’s phone addiction.

The Kansas City Chiefs player, who celebrated his 36th birthday on Sunday, was in a relationship with the 33-year-old sports journalist from 2017 to 2022. However, the couple briefly parted ways between August and November in 2020.

In one clip, Travis angrily told Kayla to ‘drink the wine so we can go’ while seated at a restaurant.

Ignoring Kelce, Nicole giggled: ‘I love it here!’

Kayla, known for her role on The Pre-Game podcast, expressed, “Sometimes, if I just received more attention, I wouldn’t feel the need to seek validation on social media from strangers.”

Reacting to this, the star athlete and three-time Super Bowl victor said with a hint of exasperation, “Oh, my God. Get off your phone. Can we just leave? You’re not even enjoying your wine anymore.”

In another clip also shot at a restaurant, Kayla serenaded Travis with her rendition of Nat King Cole’s 1965 song, L-O-V-E.

‘Loser!’ Kelce blasted. ‘What is that? Your whole… obsessed! You’re obsessed with yourself.’

In the third clip, the nepo daughter of NFL offensive tackle Roosevelt Brown is seated at a game and announced: ‘My man got a haircut.’

As Kayla pointed the camera at the 6ft5in athlete, he pulled a goofy face.

Nicole scolded: ‘No, no! Just be sexy!’

When Travis then smiled for a fan’s selfie, Miss Malibu 2013 said: ‘Won’t you take a normal picture with him. Yeah yeah… you’ll be normal with him though.’

In Taylor’s new song Opalite off her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl, she sang: ‘You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone. You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.

‘And don’t we try to love love? We give it all we got / You finally left the table / and what a simple thought / You’re starving til you’re not.’

Last Friday, the 35-year-old billionaire pop star told Capital Breakfast that she named the track Opalite because it’s a man-made opal, which is Kelce’s birthstone.

‘I’ve always loved that stone and I thought it was a kind of a cool metaphor that like it’s a man-made opal and happiness can also be man-made too,’ Swift explained.

‘Yes. So that’s kind of what the song is about is that the kind of juxtaposition of those two.’

The Ohio-born footballer previously revealed on his New Heights podcast on August 11: ‘Opalite might be my favorite, at least right now. Every time it comes on, I always catch myself.’

Kayla seemingly responded to the Opalite controversy last Friday by Instastorying a 2004 clip from America’s Next Top Model where season three champ Eva Marcille told host Tyra Banks that she didn’t compare herself ‘to other girls.’

Last year, Nicole told the Behind the Likes podcast that she was ‘out of the athlete stage’ of her life: ‘I would love to date an executive of a record label or a movie producer so that we can go to the sporting events. Let date night be courtside at the Laker game; that’s my kind of guy.’

On February 5, the Tribe Therepē founder impressively tied with Brody Jenner to win season three of Fox’s military-style competition, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

‘I’ve just gone through a public breakup and dealing with trolls or just hate online was difficult for me,’ Kayla said on the reality show.

‘I’ve prevailed and I’ve pushed through. But, I took a hit to my confidence. I don’t want to quit, and I think that that’s what would upset me the most.’

Travis and his NFL team are next scheduled to play the Jacksonville Jaguars this Monday at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, FL.

Taylor is scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Monday and Late Night with Seth Meyers this Friday.
