Celeste Rivas has been laid to rest in California, as the investigation into her death continues.

According to TMZ, the teen was laid to rest on October 6, at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary in Rowland Heights.

The family assembled beneath a white tent, while her rumored boyfriend, singer D4vd, known as David Anthony Burke, has remained unreachable, according to “Crime Stories” host, Nancy Grace.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Los Angeles police found her body on September 8, inside a Tesla registered to Burke.

Authorities located the car in a Hollywood tow yard after nearby residents of Burke’s Hollywood Hills rented house alerted police about an abandoned vehicle with a Texas plate on September 6.

The car had been at the towing facility for several days before police discovered it. Inside, they found Celeste’s dismembered body in a bag in the trunk at the front of the vehicle.

They found her just one day after she turned 15, “severely decomposed,” meaning she likely died at age 14.

Her death is labeled as a homicide, though it’s uncertain if it resulted from foul play or a potential drug overdose, with investigations pending a toxicology report.

Toxicology reports can take several months, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

Her death came after the teen fled her home earlier this year, allegedly to be with Burke, although police have not confirmed this information.

“Regarding their relationship, it would be too early to comment,” Los Angeles Police Department Captain and Commanding Officer Scot Williams told People Magazine earlier this month, adding, “We are exploring all angles.”

The Los Angeles Times reports that Celeste’s family had filed missing person reports for her at least three times over the previous year. On one occasion, police returned her home, while on another, she came back of her own accord.

So far, Burke has not been arrested or named as a suspect. Police initially said he had been cooperating with the investigation, but he has since retained an attorney.
