Nicole Kidman is discussing ‘taking risks’ and reflecting on past mistakes in a recent interview with Vogue, released Wednesday, amidst her divorce from long-standing partner Keith Urban.
‘Taking a risk is what I’ve always done,’ she shared. ‘You get back up and you try again and you learn.’
The 58-year-old has been thrust into the public eye after news of her separation from her musician husband, but she claims that the online attention does not concern her.
‘Literally walk away from it because it will fell you. It will destroy you,’ Kidman candidly shared.
Kidman did not specifically address the divorce during the interview. Instead, she appeared ‘wry, rueful, and uncertain’ when questioned about how she feels in her 50s.
‘How many times must you learn that you think you know your life’s path, and then it diverges unexpectedly?’ she pondered, emphasizing the value of loyal friendships.
She concluded: ‘There’s so much to discuss, and so little time to do it. About death, life, joy, grief, loss, intimacy, our purpose, and the nature of truth—does it even matter?’
Naturally, she also chatted about the more provocative roles she’s embraced throughout her career, noting her uncertainty about why she was often drawn to such roles.

The Hollywood star announced her separation from country star Urban, effectively drawing a line under their once rock-solid 19-year marriage.
Kidman filed to end the marriage last Tuesday – citing irreconcilable differences – as a source claimed to the Daily Mail that Urban has already moved on with an unnamed female musician.
The well-placed Nashville music business PR source said: ‘The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business.
‘It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.’
Neither were seeking spousal support: the New Zealand-born Australian singer is worth an estimated $75 million; the Hawaiian-born Australian actress has earned over $250 million.

She attended the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday along with her daughters, dressed in a white button-down shirt and blue trousers.
In a video taken by Vogue magazine, Nicole spoke to the camera while preparing for the show, and said: ‘We’re getting ready for the Chanel show, I’m just very nervous.
She was asked, do you feel nervous? And she replied: ‘Yeah I do, I have my daughters coming with me.
