A 14-year-old has been taken into custody after allegedly firing a weapon outside a Bronx building late in September, just across from an elementary school, resulting in injuries to two people, police reported on Wednesday.
The teenager faces charges including attempted murder, unlawful weapon possession, and reckless endangerment following the bold daylight shooting on September 30 near Webster Ave. and E. 187th Street in Fordam at approximately 5:58 p.m., according to authorities. A 36-year-old man was struck multiple times in the torso, while a 35-year-old woman was hit by a bullet grazing her leg. The shooter fled east on E. 187th Street.

The shooting took place across the street from P.S. 085 elementary school.
Investigators suspect the male victim was the main target of the assault, sources disclosed to the Daily News. Following the incident, both individuals were swiftly transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition, according to police at that time.
