DEVELOPING: Car Found Amid Ongoing Search for Missing Nursing Home Worker

On Wednesday, Pennsylvania authorities made a significant discovery in a missing person case that has drawn widespread attention. A vehicle linked to a woman who disappeared earlier this month was located, raising hopes for a breakthrough in the investigation.

The sedan was found in a parking lot in Philadelphia’s East Falls neighborhood, according to a report by WPVI. This discovery came after law enforcement officials conducted a search near an abandoned elementary school close to the Awbury Arboretum.

Earlier in the week, police had focused their efforts on the 55-acre Awbury Arboretum in the search for 23-year-old Kada Scott, but unfortunately, that search did not yield any results.

Prompted by a tip-off following the arrest of 21-year-old Keon King on kidnapping charges, this latest search effort was initiated. King is believed to have been the last person seen with Scott before her disappearance on October 4. Reports indicate that cell phone data tracked King’s movements with Scott’s phone on the night she vanished until the device was either switched off or disabled.

“Upon arriving at the scene, we found physical evidence that connects Miss Scott to this location, which is indeed a significant development,” Sergeant Eric Gripp of the Philadelphia police explained to WPVI.

Adding to the intrigue, a source informed the news outlet that search teams uncovered a card and a phone case during the investigation at the school, items that might be associated with Scott.

On October 4, Scott left early from her overnight shift at a nursing home. Her car was later found in the nursing home’s parking lot.

Philadelphia Police Captain John Craig said Scott does not have a history of disappearing, and her co-workers did not notice anything out of the ordinary before she went missing. However, Craig also claimed that Scott told her family about someone harassing her over the phone shortly before she vanished.

It is unclear whether police believe King was the person who harassed Scott on the phone.

Officials said King is also connected to a kidnapping and strangulation case that occurred earlier this year. However, the case was dropped because the victim did not appear in court.

Scott remains unaccounted for.

This story is developing.
