The University of Illinois’ College of Veterinary Medicine is embarking on a groundbreaking study to explore diabetes in dogs. They are extending an invitation to local dog owners to participate in this one-day research initiative, aimed at advancing our understanding of canine health.

Under the expert guidance of Dr. Denzel Adam and Dr. Arnon Gal, the study is set to occur later this month at the college’s facility in Urbana, though the exact date remains undisclosed. The researchers are seeking 100 healthy young dogs, specifically those aged between six months and two years, to partake in the study. Participating dogs will undergo a comprehensive physical examination and have a blood sample taken during the visit.
