SAVANNAH, Ga. — The tragic passing of 6-month-old Liam Rye in 2023 touched the hearts of many, but recent developments in 2025 have stirred new concerns within the community.

Two years after the unfortunate event, Liam’s father, Landon Rye, faced murder charges in October 2025. Now, revelations have surfaced that the initial narrative shared by Liam’s mother was misleading, leaving some community members upset and betrayed.

The situation first unfolded in a Facebook group designed as a supportive haven for mothers worldwide, aptly named “Mama Drama.”

On September 4, Madison Kid, then known as Madison Rye, reached out to the group, seeking prayers and assistance for her baby son, Liam, who was on life support at the time.

“Witnessing a child on a ventilator, especially one so young, was heart-wrenching,” expressed Mariah Monet, the founder of the Mama Drama group. “It evoked strong emotions not only in me but among many mothers in the community.”
