SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Prepare to enjoy another delightful autumn day! With abundant sunshine, a gentle breeze, and afternoon temperatures reaching the upper 70s to low 80s, the day promises to be perfect following this morning’s cool start in the 50s. This gorgeous weather is courtesy of a robust high-pressure system dominating the area.

As we look to tomorrow, the high-pressure system will shift eastward, paving the way for a cold front to approach later in the day. This change could bring a few isolated showers by the afternoon and evening. Once the front passes, Monday will usher in considerably cooler weather. Morning lows will drop into the 40s and 50s, with afternoon temperatures peaking in the mid to upper 70s. Despite the cooler air, mostly sunny skies will maintain a comfortable atmosphere.

The pleasant fall weather continues into Tuesday, with temperatures climbing back to the upper 70s and low 80s under sunny skies. Anticipate another dry cold front passing through late Tuesday into Wednesday. While it won’t bring precipitation, it will cause temperatures to dip slightly. By Wednesday, expect highs only reaching the mid to upper 70s, which is below the seasonal average.

Looking further ahead, high pressure will return, ensuring sunny and dry conditions for the rest of the week. Daytime highs will consistently remain in the 70s, while nighttime lows will settle in the upper 40s to lower 50s. If you adore fall weather, this week is tailor-made for you!

In the Tropics…

Central Tropical Atlantic (East of the Windward Islands):

There’s a tropical wave out in the central Atlantic, about 900 miles east of the Windward Islands. It’s kicking up a broad area of showers and thunderstorms right now. While it’s not showing much development in the short term, there’s a small chance it could gradually strengthen over the next several days as it moves west at about 20 mph. Chance of formation in the next 48 hours: Low – near 0%. Chance of formation in the next 7 days: Low – 30%

North Atlantic (Off the Northeastern U.S. Coast):

There’s also a low-pressure system well offshore of the northeastern U.S. It’s not tropical, but there’s a slight chance it could pick up some subtropical characteristics over the weekend. That said, it’s likely to head northeast over cooler waters early next week, which should shut down any further development. Chance of formation in the next 48 hours: Low – 10%. Chance of formation in the next 7 days: Low – 10%
