In a bid to locate a missing elderly resident, Oregon authorities are appealing for public assistance. The individual in question, 78-year-old Thomas Weightman, was last seen on foot when he departed his home on Tuesday morning around 10 a.m., and he has not been seen since.

Family members are deeply concerned after having a brief phone conversation with Weightman, during which he mentioned falling into a hole and being unsure of his location. Despite this contact, efforts to pinpoint his exact whereabouts have been hampered by the challenging terrain.

The Forest Grove Police Department attempted to use cell phone triangulation to locate Weightman, but due to the area’s remoteness, these efforts did not yield success. Consequently, search operations are actively ongoing.
