Jaguars fans rally at Culhane's despite London loss

Jaguars supporters flocked to Culhane’s Irish Pub, hoping for a victory, only to witness a disappointing loss to the Rams in London.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Sunday morning, Jaguars fans rose early, gathering to support their team as they took on the Los Angeles Rams in London.

Initially filled with optimism, the atmosphere at Culhane’s Irish Pub soon turned somber as the Jaguars fell short in their overseas clash.

The pub was bustling with fans clad in teal, enjoying breakfast and rallying around their team during this annual London game.

“We love coming here. I always bring my colleagues,” a fan shared. “It’s a great spot with good food. Perfect for a Sunday morning!”

Mary Jane Culhane, the pub’s owner, notes that for two decades, Culhane’s has been a popular spot for Jaguars fans, with this year marking seven years at their Southside location.

“We’re the real deal and we’re genuinely an Irish pub. This is what we do, and we’ve been doing it for 20 years — and we’re really good at it,” Culhane said.

Fans enjoyed the pub’s signature cocktails and traditional Irish breakfast — a favorite for many who show up on game days.

“We serve this every weekend for brunch, but if you go to London, this is what you typically get in an English pub. It’s the bangers, the Irish rashers, fried eggs, potato cakes, puddings and bachelor’s baked beans,” Culhane said.

Sunday’s matchup marked the Jaguars’ 14th game across the pond — a tradition that’s become a big part of the team’s identity.

“I’m getting the corned beef hash for breakfast, I’m getting the ruben later before I go home — Duval!” another fan said.

The Jaguars are off next week. Their next home game is November 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
