GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Authorities apprehended 32-year-old Rashard Jerrod Turner yesterday, following accusations of indecent exposure at a business on Newberry Road.
At approximately 2:05 p.m. on October 18, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the Auto Zone located at 7725 W. Newberry Road. Two employees reported witnessing a man exposing himself by touching his genitals while looking directly at them through a sizable window.
The employees recounted that the man subsequently moved away and leaned against an employee’s car, continuing the inappropriate behavior in full view. They were able to provide a detailed description of the individual.
Within five minutes, a deputy encountered Turner on Tower Road. After being read his Miranda rights, Turner acknowledged being present in the Auto Zone parking lot but denied any indecent conduct.
Turner, who is registered at GRACE Marketplace, faces two charges of indecent exposure. Despite having no prior criminal record in the area, Judge James Colaw has set his bail at $50,000.
