Disturbing new details have emerged in the murder investigation of Kada Scott, a Philadelphia beauty queen, shedding light on her final interactions with the alleged perpetrator.

Court records have unveiled text messages exchanged between Scott and 21-year-old Keon King shortly before her sudden disappearance, as reported by People.

Scott went missing after abruptly leaving her job during her shift on the night of October 4. Sadly, after nearly three weeks of search efforts, her body was found, confirming the worst fears.

Authorities have confirmed that Scott died from gunshot wounds. Police have identified King as the last individual she communicated with before her tragic murder.

Their communication began on September 28 and continued up until Scott vanished, as stated in a report by Fox 29.

In their initial conversation, Scott received a message from King, informing her that he had updated his contact information with a new phone number.

When Scott, 23, asked who it was, he responded ‘Kel,’ which police have since identified as King.

On the morning of her death, NBC 10 reported that Scott texted ‘kidnap me again’ to which King responded, ‘better be up too.’

That evening, the recent Penn graduate’s car was left parked at the senior living facility where she worked and her phone mysteriously went offline.

They allegedly made plans to meet up that night. Around 10pm Scott texted ‘cm [call me] when u here.’

Police believe she was killed less than an hour later.

A co-worker reportedly overheard her on the phone angrily saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re calling me about this.’

Just days before she vanished, Scott told her family that someone had been ‘harassing’ her via phone call.

After the conversation, she was seen walking to a black car outside of the nursing home. Authorities believe King stole the vehicle to meet up with Scott.

Her family, community, and police conducted an extensive search and asked for any evidence that could assist with Scott’s return.

Her remains were found on October 18, more than two weeks later.

Tips from locals led them to Ada H. Lewis Middle School, where they found her remains buried in a shallow grave. Medical examiners determined that Scott was fatally shot.

Another tip earlier in the week led police to the same school where they found the vehicle Scott was believed to have been driving the night she vanished.

Surveillance footage from October 5 reportedly showed two people removing a heavy object from the car and placing it into the grave.

Several of Scott’s belongings, including her debit card and phone case, were found inside the black vehicle. The front of the vehicle also sustained major damage from allegedly being set on fire.

Police arrested King in connection with her disappearance on October 15.

King was originally charged with kidnapping, reckless endangerment, false imprisonment, stalking, and tampering with physical evidence, according to court records reviewed by the Daily Mail.

He faces additional charges of murder, abuse of a corpse, gun offenses, arson, conspiracy, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and recklessly endangering another person, according to KYW.

King is being held on a $2.5 million bond and being held at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility.

He is due in court on November 3.
