In Tampa, Florida, air traffic controllers nationwide found themselves without their anticipated paychecks on Tuesday, as the government shutdown dragged into its fourth week.

Matthew Chapman, a representative from the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA), expressed the frustration of many, stating, “We don’t want to take on additional jobs; we aim to focus on ensuring the safety of travelers, whether they’re on vacation or business trips. We had hoped for a quicker resolution to avoid missing our paycheck.”
