Suspect in custody after shooting at officers from inside Addison home


ADDISON, Ill. An individual is now in custody following an incident where he allegedly opened fire on police officers from within a residence in Addison.

According to police reports, shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East La Porte Avenue. This response came after a man contacted dispatch, requesting assistance in locating his missing dogs. He warned that failure to assist would lead him to find others to “do the police’s job for them.”

Following this warning, the man abruptly ended the call. Despite attempts by dispatch to reach him again, their efforts were unsuccessful.
