In Fall River, Massachusetts, law enforcement officers detained five individuals following a chaotic street takeover involving a crowd of approximately 50 to 100 people over the weekend.

The Fall River Police Department issued a statement detailing the unlawful gathering, which took place from 3:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Participants, riding dirt bikes, scooters, ATVs, and motorcycles, converged on various city streets. The police noted that these individuals flagrantly ignored traffic laws, engaging in reckless stunts that endangered both their own lives and those of innocent bystanders and motorists.

Authorities expressed grave concerns about public safety, emphasizing that this was not a mere group of bikers taking a leisurely, lawful ride through the city. “These are unruly groups that obstruct streets, drive irresponsibly, and disrupt the safe passage of others,” the police statement highlighted.

In footage released by the police, a mix of motorcycles, scooters, and ATVs can be seen blocking a city intersection. One particular video captured the moment when a man briefly led officers on a pursuit before being apprehended.

The law enforcement agency said they’re “fed up” with the street takeovers and “will have more friends to help us for the next event.”
