HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Authorities in Hawkins County are delving into a shooting incident that took place in the Christians Bend Community on Friday afternoon.

According to the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the shooting was reported around 4:15 p.m.

Upon their arrival at the scene, deputies discovered a man who had died as a result of the incident.

The sheriff’s office has assured the public that there is no ongoing threat, as all individuals involved have been accounted for.

At this moment, the HCSO is withholding the release of names and further details until the investigation progresses and the victim’s family has been notified. Updates will be shared as new information becomes available.
