This weekend, Los Angeles will host the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden, and the late Joe Cocker in the Performer category.
For the first time, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Bad Company, and Outkast are being inducted into the Rock Hall. Meanwhile, Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes, who have been nominated in the past, finally secure their spots among this year’s inductees.
Alongside the main ceremony, Salt-N-Pepa and the late Warren Zevon will be recognized with the Musical Influence Award. Additionally, the Musical Excellence Award will be bestowed upon Carol Kaye, as well as posthumously to producer Thom Bell and musician Nicky Hopkins. Furthermore, Lenny Waronker, a distinguished producer and music industry executive, will be honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
“Each inductee has crafted a unique sound and attitude that profoundly impacted culture and significantly altered the trajectory of Rock & Roll,” stated Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Chairman John Sykes in April when the 2025 class was revealed. “Their music has given voice to generations and inspired countless artists who followed their lead.”
The performers being inducted this year were chosen from a pool of 14 nominees announced in February. To qualify for the Rock Hall, an artist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before the nomination year.
“Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever,” said Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Chairman John Sykes in a statement in April after the 2025 class was announced. “Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps.”

This year’s Performer category members were selected from a group of 14 nominees named in February. To be considered for the Rock Hall, “an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.”
The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will stream live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Disney+ on Saturday, Nov. 8, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
For viewers who don’t subscribe to Disney+, the platform offers the ad-based Disney+ Basic plan for $11.99 per month, as well as the ad-free Disney+ Premium plan that costs $18.99 per month or $189.99 per year.
The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame live ceremony is open-ended, meaning that it has no specific end time. The ceremony will be available to stream on Disney+ after the live event is completed.
In addition, an edited version of the ceremony will be presented as a special on ABC-TV on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, and will begin streaming on Hulu (which is located on the Disney+ platform) on Friday, Jan. 2.

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Will Be Loaded With Presenters And Performers
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame confirmed the final list of performers and presenters in a Disney+ press release on Friday.
The group of performers and presenters includes Avril Lavigne, Beck, Brandi Carlile, Bryan Adams, Chappell Roan, David Letterman, Doja Cat, Donald Glover, Elton John, En Vogue, Feist, Flea, Gina Schock, Hurby Luv Bug Azor, Iggy Pop, J.I.D, Janelle Monáe, Jerry Cantrell and Jim Carrey.
Other performers and presenters for the ceremony include Joe Perry, Killer Mike, Lisa Coleman, Maxwell, Mick Fleetwood, Mike McCready, Missy Elliott, Nancy Wilson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Olivia Rodrigo, Questlove, RAYE, Sleepy Brown, Taylor Momsen, Teddy Swims, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Killers and Twenty One Pilots.

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony marks the 40th year the event has been celebrated by the Rock Hall. While the celebration is being held in Los Angeles, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum is located in Cleveland.
The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will begin streaming live on Disney+ on Saturday, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
