The taping of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” scheduled for Thursday was unexpectedly canceled, and an episode from October 28 was aired instead, according to reports.

LOS ANGELES — The episode originally planned for Thursday, November 6, of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” was postponed because the host encountered a “personal matter,” sources indicate.

Deadline was the first to announce the postponement of the episode, though they did not provide further details on the situation.

Madison Beer, who was set to perform as the musical guest, addressed the change in a temporary social media post, explaining to her fans why her performance would not be broadcast.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ had to reschedule my performance that was supposed to air tonight,” she wrote. “I’ll provide more information about the new timing when I can, and I look forward to sharing it with you all.”

The episode was initially slated to feature interviews with “Stranger Things” actor and musician Joe Keery, as well as “Malice” and “The X Files” actor David Duchovny, prior to the postponement, as reported by People.

A rerun of “Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” Oct. 28 episode took Thursday night’s time slot.

ABC and Kimmel have not announced when the postponed episode will be filmed and eventually air, but Deadline reported attendees for the Nov. 6 showing would get tickets for a future taping at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles, California.

There are episodes planned for the week of Nov. 10, with all but Friday, Nov. 14 being planned with guests, according to ABC’s scheduling website. Guests include George Clooney, Mike Tyson, Eddie Murphy, Jason Bateman and Mr. T among others. Plans and guests are subject to change.

No other information is known at this time. Kimmel and ABC have not yet publicly commented about Thursday’s postponed episode.
