Authorities suspect that the perpetrators targeted a farm located on Tunnecliffs Lane in Knowsley, within the Bendigo area, between October 12 and October 24, while the owners were absent.
During this 12-day window, the culprits made off with goods valued at over $150,000.
The stolen items included a 1993 Mazda Bravo ute in grey with registration number FBZ077, a red Sami tractor, a Suzuki 200 motorcycle, a Honda CR80 motorcycle, a Yamaha PW50 motorcycle, a Yamaha 350 quad bike, two Yamaha 85 mini quad bikes, and a ride-on lawn mower.
Additional stolen goods comprised an air compressor, various gardening tools like a leaf blower and whipper snipper, and a collection of tools such as chainsaws, drills, a circular saw, an angle grinder, and socket sets. The theft also included three registered trailers: a camper trailer, a silver tandem trailer, and a black 6×4 trailer.
Investigators suspect that the bulk of the theft occurred on October 19, with the tractor being driven off around 10 p.m.
Not stopping there, the thieves also broke into the house, taking off with two televisions, three kitchen bench chairs, a coffee table, two paintings, several bottles of wine, and a wine fridge.
Police have released images of the stolen tractor and ute in an appeal for public assistance.
