Nick Kyrgios’ former partner, Costeen Hatzi, recently opened up about a challenging period she faced six months ago, during which she hit her lowest weight ever. The 26-year-old shared her experience and ongoing healing journey with her followers on Instagram, offering a glimpse into her personal struggles.
In her candid post, Hatzi revealed that she had dropped to 51 kilograms, a weight she attributes not to healthful practices but to intense stress during a particularly difficult time in her life. She explained that much of what she endured was kept private as she concentrated on her recovery.
“Six months ago, I was the smallest I’d ever been – 51kg – not from health but from stress and a really tough chapter. I kept a lot private while I focused on healing,” she wrote, underscoring the emotional toll the period took on her wellbeing.
Determined to prioritize her health, Hatzi has since shifted her focus. She is now committed to self-care by eating well, maintaining a consistent fitness routine, and surrounding herself with supportive friends and family. This renewed focus on her well-being marks a positive turn in her journey toward healing and growth.
‘Six months ago I was the smallest I’d ever been – 51kg – not from health but from stress and a really tough chapter. I kept a lot private while I focused on healing,’ she wrote.
‘I put myself first again: eating properly, lifting consistently, focusing on my working surrounding myself with best friends and family.
‘Now I’m feeling and looking the best I’ve felt in a long time and I’m finally in a place of peace and clarity.
‘If you’re going through it, time really does heal – keep moving forward and building healthy habits.’
Nick Kyrgios’ ex Costeen Hatzi has revealed how she reached her lowest weight ever while going through a ‘really tough chapter’ six months ago
It comes after Costeen recently spoke about her public breakup from tennis star Nick Kyrgiois and the healing she has needed to do since they parted ways.
She also revealed the lengths she went to in order to keep him happy, and the regrets she has from their time together.
‘I was fully supportive,’ she told News Corp in August.
‘I went to all the tournaments. I was doing everything behind the scenes – his washing, his cooking … everything.
‘I was happy to, because I loved him and we had a great relationship at the time. So I don’t regret anything that I’ve done.’
‘It’s different now. I have all this time for myself. I’m in a really reflective but motivated place. It has definitely been a bit of an adjustment, but I mentally prepared myself for that; it wasn’t a shock,’ she said.
‘This year has been like a transition period. Of course there are days where, you know, I’m not a hundred per cent happy, but I feel like I’ve been headstrong, and I have a positive outlook on life.’
Costeen and Nick began dating in late 2021, with the tennis star confirming their relationship on Instagram in December that year.
The 26-year-old spoke candidly about her struggles and said she is now focused on healing
She quickly became a constant figure courtside, supporting him through the 2022 Australian Open where his fiery on-court antics drew headlines.
Their relationship was often in the spotlight, with Kyrgios publicly praising Costeen while also facing criticism for his behaviour during matches.
In early 2023, rumours of tension surfaced, fuelled by Nick’s absence from tournaments due to injury and speculation about their future.
By mid-2024, Costeen confirmed their split.
