At the Big Ten Network, she was featured on “Big Ten’s Best” and “Friday Night Tailgate.” Thompson climbed the ranks to become a sideline reporter for “NFL on Fox” in 2008 and joined “NHL on Versus” as a reporter the following year. In 2010, she reported on the Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the FIFA World Cup in South Africa for Yahoo! In mid-2011, Thompson transitioned to ESPN, where she co-hosted “Numbers Never Lie” with Michael Smith until 2013. During her time at ESPN, she also served as a fill-in host for “SportsNation” and “First Take.” Thompson returned to Fox Sports in 2013, coinciding with the launch of Fox Sports 1, where she hosted “Fox Sports Live” and later “Fox NFL Kickoff.” In 2018, she took on the role of host for “NFL Films Presents,” and by 2022, she was leading pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage for “Thursday Night Football” on Amazon Prime Video.

She co-hosted the GSN show “Big Saturday Night” in 2009 and served as a sideline reporter on the ABC reality series “Shaq Vs.” In 2013, she returned to ABC to co-host the reality competition show “Splash” with Joey Lawrence. That same year, she began co-hosting “Extra” alongside Mario Lopez and Tracey Edmonds, remaining with the show until 2017. In 2017, she teamed up with Terry Crews to co-host the inaugural season of Netflix’s “Ultimate Beastmaster.” Additionally, she launched the podcast “Calm Down” with fellow sportscaster Erin Andrews in 2021.
Personal Life
On a personal note, Thompson became engaged to sports agent Kyle Thousand in early 2020, with the couple marrying later that year. However, they divorced in the spring of 2022.
