JSO: Man shot during argument with suspect on Moncrief Road


In the early hours of Sunday, Jacksonville police were called to a scene of chaos on A. Philip Randolph Boulevard, where a shooting at a teen after-party left four individuals wounded.

The incident unfolded around 1 a.m., drawing officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office to the party location. Their investigation revealed that a dispute had escalated into gunfire, resulting in injuries to two minors and two adults.

According to officials, the victims were attempting to flee when two of them suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and side. The other two individuals were grazed by bullets. Fortunately, all injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.

In the aftermath, detectives scoured the area, gathering video evidence and speaking with witnesses in an effort to piece together the events that led to the violence. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details about the incident.

Officials said the victims who were injured were running away from the incident when two of them were shot in the leg and side. The other two were grazed, and all of them have non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives canvassed the area for video surveillance and spoke with witnesses, according to a news release.
