The Jacksonville community is grappling with grief and seeking justice following the tragic discovery of Tiffany Felton’s body under a bridge on Blanding Boulevard. Her untimely death has left family and friends mourning a cherished mother, sister, and friend.

Authorities are diligently working to unravel the circumstances surrounding Felton’s death, which occurred on Jacksonville’s Westside near the Cedar River. As the investigation continues, the community’s plea for answers grows louder.

Community leaders stress the importance of public involvement in solving this troubling case. AJ Jordan, Outreach Coordinator with MAD DADS, expressed the community’s devastation, stating, “This was an unnecessary killing. Him or her left this lady under a bridge, under a bridge. It’s just, it’s just sad.”

Police are still working to piece together how Felton died and ended up underneath a bridge on Blanding Boulevard, near the Cedar River.

Community leaders tell First Coast News the public’s help can be crucial in solving this case.

“This was an unnecessary killing. Him or her left this lady under a bridge, under a bridge. It’s just, it’s just sad,” said AJ Jordan, Outreach Coordinator with MAD DADS.

Around 6:30 Sunday evening, Jacksonville sheriff’s officers were flagged down by a fisherman who said he saw a woman’s body.

“They responded to that location and found a deceased black female,” said Sgt. Kyle Matthew with the JSO Homicide Unit

A community group, MAD DADS, is calling on the public to speak up for Felton. Jordan tells First Coast News that the organization is ready to stand with her family.

“We need our city, our residents, to step up and, uh, tell what they know, you know. We have, we have children without mothers now, you know, and that’s just sad. So, we just need people to speak up,” he said.

Jordan said the group is also committed to helping the family find answers.

“We want the family to know foremost that we care. Mad Dads care, we’re going to do our part to help the family move towards some closure,” he said, “Tiffany‘s life matters.”

At this time, investigators have not yet released the cause of death and say this is an ongoing investigation.

“Whenever you have a death, whether it’s under a bridge or in a river or left in a park, it’s sad because it’s an unnecessary killing,” said Jordan.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward by calling the Jacksonville sheriff’s office at 904-630-0500 or you can remain anonymous and contact Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
